Wish list

So a few years ago when we were asked for a Christmas gift list I made one, then just for fun I made an "extravagant" wish list that I didn't expect to get anything from anytime soon. And when I say extravagant I mean really extravagant, like a new apartment with very specific features. I was very shocked about 6 months later to go back and read that blog post and recognize that the only things on my "reasonable" gift list that we received were things we bought for ourselves, but we had received, somehow or other every single item on my crazy wish list, right down to the new apartment. I haven't made a wish list since then, at least a crazy one, so I think it's about time to do one.

In no particular order, here it starts.

  • Electric wheat grinder
  • Detached home (or at least quiet neighbors)
  • Cute clothes that actually fit
  • Income enough to have meat for dinner 3-5 days a week
  • Straight knitting looms (or a knitting machine)
  • HRM + Cadence/Speedometer for my bike
  • Bicycle trainer
  • Medium crock pot so I can make desserts/side dishes at the same time as main dishes
  • Flat screen computer monitor
  • Wireless headphones/bluetooth for my phone
  • Luxury yarns (that don't make me rash)
  • A hair cut/style every 6 weeks without killing me with the cost
  • A babysitter one day every other week for 3 hours during the day for me, and 4 hours during the evening for date night
  • More to come ;)

I didn't take pictures!

So yesterday I finished crocheting a trivet and hand towel hanger. But Christopher had the camera in the car (so he wouldn't forget to take it to work), and I didn't get a picture of them before he took them to the gift exchange at work. Oh well. I'll have to see if I can make another set and actually take photos. This time I'll do it in a more reasonable color combination though. I used bright yellow and turquoise, since I originally started it as an experiment to see if I could figure it out, then decided it would be a great (free) gift when he said he needed one.
